About The Artist
Stanton Schmid has painted for the last fifty years. A native of Seattle, Washington, he now lives full time in Palm Desert, California where he works as an artist and also serves as a consultant to art organizations. He is co-author of the book "Handbook of Graphic Presentation" (John Wiley and Sons).
Schmid has shown his work in many galleries throughout the west and he was associated for many years with the Kimzey Miller Gallery in Seattle. He is currently showing his work in the Jake Dent Gallery in Palm Desert, California.

Schmid's contemporary paintings are done utilizing acrylic, ink, collage, watercolor and gouache. The most elaborate of the pieces feature a unique combination of these techniques. His style is wide-ranging. He has been in many shows and exhibitions and his works appear in numerous public and private collections.
